1. Who operates the Service
Passwordgen by KryptonPeak is operated by KryptonPeak Technologies (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Policy describes information handled when you use the password generator and strength tester.
2. Information processed
- Password strength testing: the password you enter is sent to our application server, processed to calculate a strength score, and returned with that score. The current application code does not intentionally save tested passwords to a database.
- Password generation: your selected length and character options are sent to the application server to generate a password, which is returned to your browser. The current application code does not intentionally save generated passwords.
- Theme preference: your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage so it can be restored on a later visit. This preference is not sent to our application by the page code.
- Operational data: the web server and hosting provider may process standard connection and request data, such as IP address, time, browser details, and error information, to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the Service. Retention depends on the hosting environment and its configuration.
3. How we use information
Information is used to provide password generation and strength evaluation, maintain the Service, address technical problems, protect the Service against abuse, and respond to inquiries. The Service does not check passwords against an external breach database.
4. Service providers and external requests
The Service's application code does not include advertising pixels or analytics. The page currently loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts; when your browser requests that font, Google may receive connection information such as your IP address and browser request metadata. Google's handling is described in its Privacy Policy.
Our hosting provider may process information needed to operate the website. The provider, its location, and its retention settings depend on the deployment. We do not sell password contents.
5. Cookies and local storage
The application uses browser local storage for the theme preference described above. The application code does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser or hosting platform may separately use technical storage or logs; check the applicable provider's notices for details.
6. Retention and security
The current application code does not intentionally persist password inputs or generated passwords after responding to a request. Infrastructure providers may retain operational logs under their own configurations. We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to the Service, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Use HTTPS and never enter an active account password into the tester.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
You can clear or block local storage through your browser settings; doing so may reset your theme preference. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of personal information. Contact us to make a request, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Children and international use
The Service is not directed to children under the age at which they may lawfully consent to online services in their location. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us. Because the Service may be hosted in another country, operational information may be processed where the hosting provider operates, subject to applicable law.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when the Service or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
10. Contact
